So originally, I was just going to lump Ancestral Blade in with Flayer Husk from last week, but honestly, the more I look at this, the more I think this is sneakily very good. Over, Under, or Just Right? Just Right: It says here IвЂ™m supposed to mentionвЂ¦ Checks Notes, Gabriel Angelfire ? Man, all the weirdos really do come from Reddit. LetвЂ™s go full-out Blocking Matters! Why use deathtouch when we could use Grasping Giant or Vortex Elemental to get all the creatures without dealing damage? Or letвЂ™s just steal all the creatures with Tolarian Entrancer and Sisters of Stone Death ! Maybe we want our Homura, Human Ascendant to die in combat, or maybe we want our Mirri, the Cursed to get real swole! Maybe we fall completely off the deep-end and build a terrible вЂњwants to be blockedвЂќ tribal deck with freaking Saprazzan Heir ! The worldвЂ™s your oyster with Nemesis Mask ! ItвЂ™s another question if any of that is actually good, but frankly, I donвЂ™t think I care. DoesnвЂ™t matter if Typhoid Rats is being blocked by one creature or ten, they only have enough power to kill one creature. DonвЂ™t get me wrong, deathtouch and other cards like Sword of Kaldra work decently well with Lure effects, but youвЂ™re limited by the power of the creature. This is where people come in with deathtouch ,В but even thatвЂ™s not quite enough. Taunting Elf cost you one mana, and itвЂ™s still not gonna survive any combat you put it in without some extra help. You donвЂ™t play Nemesis Mask as a weird form of evasion to help get the rest of your dorks through. The apocalypse is only a couple weeks away and I gots to get back into hardcore uber-cynical sarcastic mode.LetвЂ™s be clear, you never really play a Lure effects for any value they might provide on their own. This is one of the rare times youвЂ™ll find me this humble so revel in it.

As I celebrate my 9 th annual 28 th birthday I say thank you to everyone who is in my life. When I say IвЂ™m awesome, itвЂ™s a compliment to all of you who have been there and continue you to be there through thick and thin. I am what I am because of who I associate with. How can I not proclaim awesomeness when IвЂ™m surrounded by so much of it? Two of the most annoying fur monsters in the world that I would utterly be lost without and of course, without question, the greatest friend/confidant/lover/competitor/motivator/inspiration/counselor a slightly deranged man could ever have in the form of my dear wife Suzanne. Friends who are blood to me and continue to amaze me each and every day. Family that hasnвЂ™t seen me in over a decade yet love me the same nonetheless. I have a mother and father who are always there for me. IвЂ™m fortunate enough to have awesome in all of its forms surrounding me at all times. You need to strategically and categorically place awesomeness all around you and inevitably it permeates right into you. Awesomeness doesnвЂ™t simply manifest from nothingness. I firmly believe the only way to achieve true awesomeness is to envelop oneself with it.

I always pontificate about my own awesomeness but there is sound reasoning behind it. Some think I have a catastrophic ego problem but hear me out first before you judge. I spend my Nameday (and the days before and after) reflecting on my own awesomeness. Everybody deals with their own bag of drama and everyone views own their trials and tribulations as being more significant than another. My life is no better or worse than the next person. IвЂ™m still perplexed as to what I did to get sentenced to a life term here but be rest assured IвЂ™m going to keep filing my appeals to the Galactic Council. As I sit here listening to Jim Morrison lament about being lost in Roman wilderness of pain I celebrate surviving another year on this twisted and confusing planet. ItвЂ™s early December which means I am supposedly supposed to celebrate my aging another year. ItвЂ™s no coincidence I chose today to return to the wonderful world of the blogosphere. You know another day, another adventureвЂ¦ good or bad. Manned the weapons console of a starship. Lots of ups and downs вЂ“ more so for my beloved wife than myself вЂ“ but itвЂ™s been a rollercoaster nonetheless. ItвЂ™s been an interesting year to say the least.
